1994 Honda Civic - No start Gonna try to keep this short - electronics started acting funny on the way to work today. The radio would shut off and the speedo and tach would just die and be all over the place when stepping on the brakes. When I turned on the wipers, they would not run full speed. Seemed like it was running out of power. Got to work, shut the car off and it won't start. Seems to struggle - starter would maybe turn on for about half a second then just cut out. The cluster warning lights aren't dimming, same with the dome lights and all that when I'm attempting to start the car. Suspecting it may be the alternator? Any inputs? Car is stuck at work lol |
Sounds like a dead alternator which lead to a dead battery as well. |
Jumpstart the car and check voltage at the battery |
Update: Went back to my car after about an hour I shut it off, turned on the headlights and it's getting full power. Started the car and it started fine. Tried this about 10 times and it started each time. WTF? Thinking maybe the alternator got excessive water and it dried itself out? Lol |
Check the connection at the back of the alt. and batt. terminals. |
Also check your grounds. |
All of these are the right suggestions. Get to work, son |
