Looking for Good Seats Hey, not sure if this is the right place to post this but I'm finally starting building my dream car :fuckyea::fuckyea::fuckyea:. I hate the stock rsx seats, they are way to stiff and they don't hold me in place well during spirited driving. I'm looking for some good aftermarket seats that are under 500$ each. Right now I have narrowed it down to these two: Driver's Edge Autosport Sparco USA I have been searching far and wide for a place that has aftermarket seats in stock so I could try them out, but it's almost impossible finding a place. So I'm turning to revscene for help. Any have either ones? Or sat in either ones? Or can anyone suggest good seats. I'm looking for something for dd, and spirited mountain driving as well as the occasional track day |
Hmmm… F1Spec FIA racing seats, carbon fiber racing seats, off road racing seats, black racing seats are pretty much exactly why you are looking for IMO. Search them on HT, they are fairly well established. |
If only they came in black :(. I'll think about it. Idk if I want red seats. My whole interior is black with red here and there. I would love black seats with red sticking |
Most of the models come in both red or black. You are going to spend at least 150/side on brackets and sliders for a fixed back seat btw. Why not just look for a set of half decent jdm DC5R seats, you can get a set for 1000-1200 with rails and they will hae decent residual value. |
I been trying to find some. Whenever I do there are either beat to shit or they sell right away. I'm hoping to find some local if I could. Tax and shipping is a bitch |
JDMSource? Speaking from experience, those recaro seats almost always show up beat to shit... 2-3 hours and some woolite, more often than not they always look like 8/10 or better. Just avoid the ones with really crushed bolsters unless you get a strong discount. http://honda-tech.com/acura-integra-...e-%3D-1850276/ Before: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/100_3536.jpg After: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/100_3555.jpg |
I actually just happened to find another revscene member that is selling them. They look mint and in black like I want. I'm really tempted to buy them. We'll see how big my next pay cheque is I guess |
+1 for the OEM DC5 Recaro's. Perfect blend between a sporty seat that will hold you in place and a comfortable seat that you can road trip in. I think Sparco seats are kinda shit(especially the base model ones like you posted). OMP makes good stuff but you need to buy the higher end of their model line to get the good lasting quality and that would run you $900 per seat, give or take. |
I think Recaro Pole Position is pretty comfortable and "street-able". Sparco sprint I find slightly uncomfortable due to the straight angle at the bend. No matter what you do, don't buy reps! The foam doesn't rebound back and you'll be sitting on the shell after a few months. |
Corbeau makes a lot of very nice seats at reasonable prices. The A4's are nice if you still want a good daily driver seat, otherwise the FX1 Pro is a really nice fixed bucket. |

I have a pair of Corbeau FX1 Pro's and am happy with them. |

If you want to sell your stock seats let me know. |
I'm seriously considering buying these http://www.revscene.net/forums/69751...ats-black.html |

You ail spent 200-300 on a set of the rails… plus you have to find them. |

See if the seller is willing to work the rails into the deal, since he already has them in a DC5. |
He doesn't have the rails anymore. |
That was the first thing I asked. No rails I guess he already sold them. |
