Nice job! Good to see that the salty bunch at RS didn't scare you off.

I seriously don't get why people hate on him. He's obviously more mechanically inclined than a lot of people here (plastidip wheels don't count.)

He took a risk and went against a mechanical goliath and he's doing well. He has a unique preference which is refreshing compared to all the rice burners that are around here.

There's a 20 year old on bimmerforums that makes guides that even BMW technicians read. Last thing a car community needs is to mouth off an enthusiast and potential community car expert.

Big props to the cocky 17 year old with the BMW but shit man, you just drive a stock car with wheels, not much to brag about?!

edit: Oh, and if you want to pull a ton of chicks, hit the gym at your age, hard!

Rofl, I love how the word "hate" is so easily tossed around these days. I didn't see any hatred here.

lol so typical... give someone advice, they go against it.. Then when things go their way they make sure to come gloat even though people were looking out for their best interest.. lmao

hasn't even been that long either.. lol. I bet he wont be posting when it comes time to fix all his shit..

Nice car buddy, that doesn't make your decision correct.. Once again, it's obviously your choice, but don't come in to a forum seeking advice if you don't want to hear it.

BTW to all the hater bullshit... No one is hating.. He posted his story and the car he was looking for, RS gave him advice. He then went against it and made his own brand new thread to show off..

Imagine going to a stock broker asking about a company. He tells you it's a poor investment choice, but it is obviously up to you. You go ahead and buy it anyways, stock goes up,
and go back and call him an idiot

SpartanAir 12-01-2014 08:15 PM

The car does look nice, but it does really need to go lower, with the low profile wheels you have.

But on the back, you have an Alpina badge :suspicious: Is there anything Alpina about this car?

Because putting a badge like that on is akin to putting an M3 badge on a non-M car, GT-R badge on a single turbo Skyline etc...

Don't be a poser. Just go badgeless if you've already removed the "740i"

multicartual 12-02-2014 01:16 AM

Wow this dude is taking serious flack. A bunch of RS'ers scared off the girl that posted here, new people will only pop up every few months if they lurk and get to know how unfriendly the community is!

I look forward to your posts zyzz :toot: nice car

What were the alternatives that you considered buying? The aura of owning a big luxury car fades after awhile, especially at the age of 16.

Did your parents pay for the car and potential upkeep? For someone your age, two-door coupes are more practical and sporty. More fun to drive too.

Also most people usually swap their first car within the first couple years, if that. Its a common thing. Have fun with your car while it lasts.

I think it's great that you went against the grain for better or worst. 17 and no fucks given, I'm jealous. The world would be a boring place if everyone drove the same thing. For every piece of shit car out there, there's always at least 1 person that loves it, every cars got a car club.

Anyone one that talks shit has to post a pic of what they drove at 17

Godzira 12-02-2014 09:16 AM

I had a skyline gts 4 and thought my car was the fastest car ever... not much has changed in 8 years.

twitchyzero 12-02-2014 09:42 AM

same...been driving the same car for the past 9 years :derp:

Godzira 12-02-2014 09:49 AM

I've had 17 cars since then but my taste hasn't changed.. I've had this one the longest now maybe I'm growing up.:heckno:

Well, yeah, but he's got a 7 series. You have a 3... It's much lower on the totem pole.

zyzzz 12-02-2014 07:09 PM

Gonna answer every question or judgement just made,

I dont think my rims are ugly at all, they are lexani, not stock, incase any of you were wondering. Not very tacky if you ask me, but thats my opinion.

Toyota supra is my brothers ill post a few pictures for you guys.

I do go to the gym every day have been for 3 years now multicultural :) bigger than most of the fully grown men on here you can ask Mr.C! HAHA :fuckyea:

Im not like typical 16 year olds who actually find a LV interior " Fuckin sick maan! ". I like cars that are tastefully modified. :)

I dont think it is a surrey jack mobile at all. I took off the gay 22 inch rims, got rid of the LV interior, and turned my 3 12 inch subwoofers down all the way, LOL. If you consider my car a surrey jack mobile then you might aswell consider every other modified e38 out there a surrey jack mobile. I am going for a certain look i have in my head with my car.

When it comes to fixing my shit, I will post on a e38 enthusiast facebook page i am in, everyone there is nicer than my damn grandma and they are probably the nicest group of car guys I have ever seen.

I plan on going lower, and the alpina badge is not there for no reason, I plan on slowly converting it to an alpina E38.

Alternatives I was looking into, a 2002 s500 Benz, a 2004 BMW z4, and an 04 540I. But i stuck to what i told myself and bought myself my favorite car, the e38. And not a single dollar of my parents money has gone into this car, I have about 10 grand into it total. But I recently cancelled my insurance so I can start saving for a year for when I get my N. Had it insured for 5 months under my dads name while having my L so I could drive it. But I paid every dollar.

Good for you being 17 and driving around in a e92 theyre great cars, im sure you enjoy burning your mommy and daddys gas while you drive it.

Heres some pics of the supra,

It's they way you present yourself on RS and brag about being 16 making all this money which makes many of us on here think you are a douche. A few years from now when you mature some more you will look back at this thread and realize it yourself. Hopefully..
