That animosity exists in all areas of the city. There is a deep rooted hate against rich foreigners, they way it is perpetuated just changes. People tend to stay PC and complain about the effects of rich foreigners rather than what they actually hate. Oh well, rich foreigners are the south-asian gangs of the late 90s. Maybe Kim Bolan will start following around affluent foreigners and blogging about them :fuckthatshit: |

My excessive speeding was $368. Tow + impound fees and storage fees for the car was another $1200. Plus almost $400 a year for the next 3 years for the DRP. All in my excessive speed cost me about $3k. Hard way to learn not to speed by more than 39km/h...:concentrate: --- Back on topic though, that's some bullshit from the VPD. If I was the owner i'd be pissed, I mean come on, the police are supposed to enforce the laws, not use them to crack jokes, and make fun of those who they beat with them. This was already on CarThrottle this morning, absolutely ridiculous that a police department would poke fun at something like this. Whats next: Quote:

While I do applaud police doing their job, and it is no doubt a good thing this guy got ticketed and towed for breaking the law, the entire tweet seems kinda childish. It's definitely not the kind of professionalism I expect from the police, that's for sure. Let's be real here, plenty of shitbox cars get towed and impounded on the daily, it's pretty clear they only posted this because it is a brand new Lambo. Though I think it's pretty funny to humiliate shitty drivers, especially when they drive nice cars that they lack the brain capacity to afford and operate (hello, Richmond Learns to Park on FB!) it probably shouldn't be done with taxpayer dollars from a government agency dedicated to being professional and above all, impartial. WTF? That post looked so unprofessional. I wonder what VPD was thinking. |

$3xx ticket is like a breakfast bill for a rich guy driving a lambo. |
I'm reminded now of this incident. Cause the police must be racist now, right? Racism in Vancouver: We Need to Stop Pretending It Doesn't Exist |

Someone is judging another of being racist over completely fuck all, thats the point i was making. |

I kinda get it.. Some people think that as long as they are wealthy, they are above the law.. That's probably why this was posted... Not that I agree with this "tactic" |

I got my car towed once, I can tell you I learned my lesson. I hope that owner did as well. |

Anyone else sing that stupid song in their head when you saw this picture? .........since 1903 Spoiler! I was pretty disgusted when I saw the tweet, but breaking the law is breaking the law. I bet he felt like he was going 30 km/hr in his vehicle...it's crazy how newer or "luxury" vehicles are so smooth that everything feels a lot slower than it really is. |
160km probably feels like 100km in that thing. |
