The technology might be there but the the infrastructure cost alone...will be just too ridiculous.

What we need is rocket style aircraft that shoots you into space and then comes back down to your destination.

The cost to build it is supposed be cheap. 1/10 of high-speed rail and 1/4 of highway.

because our airlines, ports, trains, oil & gas pipelines are completely shutdown

the only thing im curious about is how tremors, low/high weather pressures, temperatres, etc. would affect their system and how they'll get around any of those issues

i'm sure elon musk is just shaking his head at these projects. He has specifically stated that the hyper loop is only optimal for city pairs within a certain distance. It's not meant to be some nationwide transportation grid. That's what his electric supersonic vertical take off jets are for.

http://ehealthwoman.com/apple/images/21.gifI can't wait until this gets produced. Hopefully Elon is able to get in going and have tremendous success like Tesla. I think it's great he's trying to bring all these sustainable sourced products to fruition; he's kinda picking up where Nikola Tesla left off years ago http://ehealthca.com/hu12uk1.jpg
