2000 Civic Suspension issues? I keep hearing a sound like loose lug nuts from the front passenger wheel when going over bumps. I jacked up the car and pushed the wheel forward/backward at 12\6 and 9/3 o'clock to check the wheel bearing and tie rod ends, all seem ok. When I turn the wheel clockwise/counter clockwise back and forth I can simulate the noise. The lugs are torqued. The car is all stock. Any advice would be great, thanks! |
My passenger rear shock does this and its my bearing in the top hat. Apparently it may be loose inside, but its fine other than the sound. Part is like $30 for my teins and they're pretty easy to swap out. |
Did you check your bushings? Depending on the age/mileage of your car they could be worn out. The metal on metal contact would certainly cause noise when going over bumps. My girlfriend's '07 Saturn Ion had only 70,000 KM and has the same issue.. stupid crap quality American cars lol. |
Had a similar issue in past and it was bushings. Definately check things before throwing money at it |
