Barrett Jackson 2015

Personally one of my favourite events of the year to watch, and this year should be no exception. This year some of the famous car collector Ron Pratte's collection will be up for grabs, some of them expecting to grab huge money. Pumped for this Saturday to see what goes down.

Any favourites you guys are looking for!?

It started on Discovery yesterday (tuesday from 3pm-8pm) and will be on the rest of the week. I should clarify, its on Discovery World as of yesterday, and will continue through the week.

over 100 of his cars sold already for over $13M.....is he just clearing space or going broke and needs the money...what's the story on this guy anyways? i've seen him pay massive money for some cars over the years

He started and owned a massive construction company and sold it for $350 million and started the private collection. No idea why he decided to sell everything, rumours he might be sick but who knows.

I'm pumped to see the Future liner go up for sale again, and he donated it to the armed forces fund so I'm sure it'll get huge money because 'Murcia. The original Shelby Cobra is up for sale again too, I remember watching it live when he bought it for 5 mill

I want a 1958 vette :(

I like watching earlier in the week, when the drivers/non-specialty cars go on the block. You actually see some good deals on cool cars, that regular folks can afford.

From a televised perspective, I gave up on BJ a long time ago when I felt it became more about the show / entertainment value rather than what's on stage. Coupled with seeing one percenter types paying stupid money for something that'll just sit and never experience 'life' I just stopped watching.

But there are good deals though, just not shown since it would make for boring TV. Either way, I'd love to visit the Scottsdale grounds one day.

usually these cars go in the other premium auctions around the world, first of all they are super rare to come up to begin with and second of all, this is a pro "MURICA" event, which makes sense why they don't come up. If I was going to look for a decent priced euro or italian supercar....barrett jackson is where I'd go, usually can find some pretty sick deals since no one's there to buy them
