Yup my wife tells me a new excuse they get at work just about every day. The most common is expats moving out of the country, which is pretty fucked up. When we got our cats at SPCA, one of them was surrendered because he "couldn't get along" with their baby. This was still a kitten, mind you. This family doesn't know what they missed out on, and man are we lucky they abandoned him. |

If someone doesn't like animals, especially dogs, I have no interest in associating with them. "I don't like dogs" translates in my head to, "I don't like fun" "I don't like friendship" "I don't like unconditional love" "I don't like happiness" |
I love dogs. I would love to keep one if I had a place for him or her. I have to resort to loving my friend's dog instead. Everytime I visit my friend's place, he always runs up to me, looking up to me. People need to get assessed before owning a pet, whether they have the means to take care of one or not fuck it up. No kidding. My ex boyfriend said one of those exact things to me he said he 'had no idea cats lived this long' and he was always really mean to her. She was 4 y/o at the time.. |
Whats even more heart breaking... something I try not to think much about... is the mistreatment animals get from owners who wont even put in the effort to take the animal to the SPCA. |
