Questions about lowering a Mitsubishi Lancer Hi everyone, Just helping a friend with his 2012(I think) mitsubishi lancer, he recently purchased it from a family member. Although not completely stock, he wants to make e a few more modifications. His current priority is to lower it about 3-4 inches, maybe even only 2. How much would this cost him? He was quoted $500-600 from someone he knew but he thinks he can get it for less. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance |
The cost will depend on the method of lowering the vehicle. There's lowering springs that usually give a 2" drop, coilovers, or airbags. If he wants a large drop, coilovers are usually the best bet. Springs are usually around $200-$300, coilovers range from $800-$1500, airbags even more expensive than that. Was the quoted $500-$600 just labor? Or did it also include suspension components |
labour or the spring? it should be $500 for labour and the lowering springs together. I got a lancer, its on BC coilovers w/ swift springs ~1g |
you can always get it for less....does your friend know how to install? people won't do things for free bro. i think 500-600 installed is reasonable |
