Lamborghini Huracan crash

oh shit!! I'm sure it's a write off

holy shit! i actually feel worse for this person than i do any of the crashes i see locally. yes he was an idiot and yes he was going probably 3 times the legal speed limit. but a tiny bump in the road is hard to predict and i assume impossible to see at those speeds. damn.

I feel worse for the passenger who was apparently seriously injured in the crash, according to an article I read earlier and can't find again now!

jshen 01-19-2015 06:07 PM

holyyyyy, must have been fatal. Car is destroyed! :ohgodwhy:

Both occupants survived. Paul walker and Roger Rodas were killed at about 90mph. Granted they hit a tree, but this is still a testament to how far cars safety has come in 10 years. Its fucking crazy.

It's hard to predict that a road which isn't a race track will have bumps and ruts in it?

No it isn't.

Is it tragic, yes, but anyone who does 300km/h on a public road has to understand the risks associated with it... It's not like he just did it once to test the limit either, he appears to travel at that same speed for an extended period of time, I mean come on. Use your brain.

because write off means when the car costs more than the car's value to fix.
I'm no professional but visually, a lot of stuff needs to be fixed..

That is amazing, looking at those photos I absolutely cannot see where you could still be inside that car and have enough space for your body to not be crushed.

flagella 01-19-2015 07:41 PM

Ya, was gonna say, "did he died?"

InvisibleSoul 01-19-2015 08:06 PM

How the eff did they live?

Yea. First thing that came to mind was "did they died?"

quote from Top Gear

"The Huracán doesn't get a carbon-fibre monocoque tub. Instead, it uses what it calls a ‘hybrid chassis', an integrated spaceframe structure of carbon and aluminium"

I think the looks more fucked than it was because it melted after it caught fire. I'm sure it had to be more in tact than that. The driver actually pulled the passenger out of the car before the fire fully caught. Fucking crazy he could not only survive, but be intact enough to pull a grown man out of the passenger seat.

Yeah, the scratches to the Huracan's paint job will definitely not buff out. :twirleye::facepalm:

StylinRed 01-19-2015 09:24 PM

holy fuck....up to 330km/h....crash @315km/h and they're not dead?! the driver should be, for darwin purposes, but holy shit

LeadFootLiam 01-20-2015 08:42 PM

Looks like it caught on fire but damn, I'd never go that fast on public roads, only on a track.

kkthind 01-20-2015 08:47 PM

meh, that'll buff right out :troll:

yeah only GT-R would be capable and stable enough to be safe

According to Kazutoshi Mizuno, the chief engineer of GT-R, it was actually designed to have a conversation at 300km/h.

And that conversation would have gone like this...

"SLOW THE FUCK DOWN WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU"
