As for selling it internationally where it is not blacklisted (as blacklists are generally based on regions), it will help in recuperating some cost. This way, someone gets a phone they can use in their region and OP gets to get some of his money he would have otherwise completely lost. |

Wait. I'm not clear on something. So how did this happen? If it worked at first during the "sniff test", then the seller called Rogers to blacklist the phone?? |

Seeing so many of these threads coming up, I'm glad that we have a pretty active B&S where you can buy from reputable members instead of strangers on CL. Don't get me wrong, CL has its place but I feel more safe buying from RS than anywhere else. |

Blacklists in Canada are only applicable in Canada and certain carriers in the US. Other countries say for example in Asia do not use the same blacklists, so if the OP sells the phone to someone from one of those countries, then the phone will work. It's a nice way to get cheaper phones if you know what you're doing. :fuckyea: |
Post his info so we know who this dipshit is. Vancouver is a pretty small place |
I remember this was a big issue with the Nexus 4 and 5's. People would order straight from the Google website. Sell it on craigslist, blacklist it by reporting it stolen or something and they would get a replacement? Something along those lines. They would continuously make a profit by getting brand new phones, selling them, blacklisting them and getting a replacement right away. |

its funny cause hchang wanted OP of another thread to continue following some crack addicts in surrey or something and do justice. |
This happened to me before when i bought a note 2 it fucking sucks. I unlocked it so it could be uaed by bell phones then sold it to a friend. No proborms after that. Goodluck man! |
It's not even worth buying phones off people anymore. So many ways the seller can screw you and it doesn't even matter what assurance you have... receipts, IMEI check, whatever. They can still screw you over a few weeks or even a few months later. |

I thought selling it internationally meant selling a known dud to some other poor guy somewhere else ... Hence the eye for an eye analogy My apologies |

LOL akuma Z, lets hunt him down |
Thanks guys. Noose tightening? If he is an accounting major I am prepared to cause a world of professional hurt for him. As I mentioned before I graduated quite some time ago and guess what? Lots of my peers were in accounting and are now managers and partners at most of the major public practice firms... And on his way to get a professional accounting designation there is something called a personal /professional code of conduct which probably doesn't include ripping people off. He needs to know there are consequences. As someone earlier mentioned... Karma. |
And you didn't think to contact this guy using a different number when you saw his second ad? Instead you posted a warning on CL?:fulloffuck: You sure taught him a lesson he won't soon forget. |
Unfortunately, the days of gathering a few buddies together to "straighten things out" are long past for me. I had a feeling he'd be on here. Although surprised that no one knows of him yet. Guess it's early. Too bad, we really need to throw out the bad apples. |
lol let the hunt begin |

Ha, I've still got a few years on you still and yes the temptation was strong but have a family to support and my own personal and professional code of conduct to maintain in order to pay the bills. |
