OLD BOY Porsche 911

Ok so the Japanese restoration shop called OLD BOY is selling fully restored Porsche 911. They basically took everything into pieces and put them back together.

Unlike Singer 911, they did not add HIDs, carbon fiber, wide tires, big brakes, bucket seats and interior luxury trims, heavily modified engine with state of the art electronics, heavy duty gearbox and clutch, etc.

All they did was that brought everything back to the original brand new condition.

Price: 15 million yen ($157,766 Canadian)

The owner of the shop says the price is about right because it's about the same as 2015 Carrera S.

I'd rather have a brand new 2015 911 but apparently it's selling very well so I thought it's kinda interesting how some people would spend money on this than the brand new 911 Carrera S.

I would rather have a brand new S as well haha

I'm guessing this is a car for somebody who already owns a 2015 S. I can't think of why I'd cross shop them (If I had the money)

At first I thought you were talking about the Korean movie.

Not everyone wants a new car. I'd rock a new condition Diablo over any of todays Lambos

This is the best thing you have ever posted timpo. Thank you.
I'd buy this over a new 911s without even thinking about it.

I'd take one of these in carrera RS 2.7 guise.

fully restored car for $150k is a very good deal consider the amount hours if would take. Porsche Classic also restore cars at the factory, but they charges way more than that for just restoration on your own car.

Simply amazing! I'd put every other "car" thing on hold if I could have one of these built for me.

this sort of thing isn't new. domestic and muscle car guys regularly do $100k+ restorations.

heck, even Porsche has their own dedicated restoration facility in Germany, called "Porsche Classic". just ship them your old Porsche, and they will replace almost every nut&bolt with brand new off the shelf OEM parts.

but to comment on the pricing, it seems quite fair. not surprised they are selling well.
