meh last years wasn't very interesting. Walked through the whole show in 30 minutes. All the cars that I wanted to sit in and get a feel for were locked.

Also, too many fucking kids running around and screaming.

Luckily I get vip passes every year from my boss, otherwise I wouldn't pay a penny to go. Our Auto show sucks so much compared to Toronto or Geneva, which is surprising considering the vast market we have here for luxury automobiles.

I went later near the close date of the show and I didn't really see any kids other than at the Ford mustangs, Evos, and GTR's. At least you got to sit in the GTR and 370 whereas in 2013 they were off limits and you could only see them from behind a velvet rope. HONDA NEEDS TO BRING BACK THE LAWN MOWERS GOD DAMN

FWIW, in January, I read the Driving section of the Vancouver Sun and there was an article that said the Dealer Association hired new origanizers for this years Auto Show and that it will look a lot different than the past years.

I remember when it was in BC Place in like 2008, that year was the last good year for the Vancouver Auto Show. Since then it has been shit.

Sounds like this year they might be bringing it back, since they might have some tuner type stuff, and actually represent the entire car industry instead of just the 10 big manufacturers.

IMO a VIP night would be awesome, and a great way to encourage more people to go especially since weekends are so busy and jam-packed with families that the average person will never get more than a few seconds to appreciate the interior of a given car. Weekday night, 19+, capped number of tickets... pay a little extra for a much better experience.

Last year I went for the Micra and all the 'regular' cars. But sitting in an actual R35 was surreal. Not really sure what day I should go because IIRC the auto show lands exactly on spring break for the lil' kiddies.

Josh Chow (JoshiE- Drive Marketing), who's helped with organizing various local car events is the Media Sponsor/partner and will be helping plan this event. I think we will all be in for a treat this year.. I can't wait to be in attendance

Lol there are a couple surpises. When I saw him on Friday, she wasn't in attendance with him as she was busy working. I don't know if she will be there but my faith in him to plan a great event is high as always, even without Amy

You can test drive those cars outside without paying for the Autoshow's admission.

I think I've gone once in the last 10 years for the reasons mentioned above. It's also a bit disappointing after you've gone to the Detroit one.

Having said that, I'm in the market for a new (or slightly used) car for my wife, and this is the easiest way to compare different cars from different companies.
