Thanks everyone, ordered a Sandisk Ultra II 240gb for $119 from NCIX that's big enough to hold my Vista OS and programs with room to spare.

I might migrate to a refurbished Mac Mini (2012) in the future and will re-use it there, but for now I'm looking forward to the new lease on life for my current system. :fuckyea:

Anyone have recommendations for a SSD drive? Was originally going to get a Samsung 850 EVO (250gb) but found out that it's problematic. Now I'm looking at the Samsung 850 Pro (128gb). Any advice?

Intel drives if you want rock-solid reliability. Speed doesn't really matter THAT much in the grand scheme of things for SSD's, they're all pretty fast anyways.

I have 840 Pro and OCZ 150 on the same computer running same OS, it seems that the Windows gives me more BSOD on the 840 than 150.

Where did you read this? As far as I know only the 840 series had degradation after awhile. I have the 850 evo and it's been working fine for me.
