Hi guys,

Yes that is my beloved Type R that was my baby. Owned since new -- about 60K in mods over the years.....

Car is a write off. Frame is bent at the A-pillar on RHS -- pushed back about two inches

I have whiplash and back injury -- but otherwise ok.

I was travelling straight on Drake and as I approached Homer intersection -- an eastbound car turned into my path attempting to make a left turn as if I wasn't there. The crash was tremendous.

Good thing my car had a welded in 6 point cage and no airbags. That saved me lots of injury

I yelled at the guy (in blue hoody) for at least 5 minutes. He said he didn't see me. I said "How the F*&^ can you not see a yellow car on a sunny day coming the other way???!"

When I saw his mom (who was seated in passenger seat in his car) was quite badly injured -- I calmed down

I just got the call from ICBC today that car is not fixable. So I'm gonna salvage it and part it out

Be careful out there guys. Some asshole is going to ruin your day when you least expect it

oh my, Im so sorry man! That is terrible, I can't even imagine how I would feel after all that work, money, and dedication. Such a loss!

I hope you get what you deserve out of this, btw did the other driver and car have proper insurance?

So sorry man. Original owner ITR and lots of money, time and effort into it. Some clueless drivers out there :(

Hope you and your mom have a speedy recovery.

Christ. Sorry for your loss.

There goes another clean ITR. Judging by how rat bagged half the cars on the market are, this might have been one of the last clean examples in our area.

RIP ITR. Hope to a speedy recovery for everyone.

I think it was the other driver's mom.
But either way, hope everyone's okay.

twitchyzero 03-19-2015 03:21 PM

real shame...definitely one of the nicest R in town
you can dedicate so much into a car but it all goes to nothing from one carless asshole's mistake
glad to hear you're okay. how did airbag delete help against injuries?

Blast from the Past. Haven't seen you posting since IC.com.

Good luck with the future build!
