"Around the world" tickets anyone booked one of these before? say i want to go from vancouver to cancun, then i bus from there and then want my next flight to be from Guatemala City to somewhere else is that ok? or do you have to land and leave from the same airport to continue? |
are you redeeming points for around the world ticket? or buying it? is this with OW or *A? |
i'm assuming it would be a huge number of points so i'd be buying them economy |

Are you doing it with OW or *A? It would be easier to help you out if we know which alliance you are flying with as they have different T&C |
seeing as i have no idea what those mean.....star alliance probably if that's what's you're looking for? |
Quote:
*A = Star Alliance Airlines For the T&C of *A, refer to Round the World Terms and Conditions - Star Alliance to section 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 (too much to quote) that will explain how you can travel with your round the world fare ticket. Also go here Round the World Fare - Star Alliance there is a booking dummy you can enter in all the places you want to go and it will let you know if it is allowed or not allowed. (East to West, or West to East in one direction and has to cross Atlantic ocean and Pacific Ocean once.) |
ya i used the second one but it takes it as continuous travel...no stop start in different cities |

My dummy booking went Vancouver -> Cancun (fly in) -> (Surface travel) Guatemala City (fly out) -> London -> Hong Kong -> Vancouver |
uh ok maybe i missed something....honestly only tried for a couple mins Vam- Cancun, Panama city-Bogota, not sure how we'll work it around South America, Rio - India somewhere, then to Manila then probably vancouver that's just an idea |
