When looking at the above stats, I am just blown away by how much more expensive the Mustang has gotten over a 30 year period. The Camaro has also gotten a good chunk more expensive. Interestingly, the Nissan Z has gotten a lot cheaper.

My issue with this chart is that they compare the '85 Mustang GT to a 2014 V6.

If it's a proper comparison you have to use the same trim levels.

Ditto with my 200SX (S12). Saw one up for sale last week and part of me wanted to jump all over it ... But the reason I sold mine was because everything was falling apart on it and it didn't make sense to pump thousands of dollars into something worth maybe a couple thousand fixed (the one I saw for sale was $3k and sold in 2 days, but was in way better condition, lower mileage than mine would've been even with thousands of dollars put in) ... Plus my GF hated it with a passion.

At least I won't be having those regrets for my Civic :accepted:

I agree that the same trim level should have been used. But in the Mustang's case, wouldn't the price increase be even more drastic had a 2014 Mustang GT been used instead of the V6?
