Taking time off work for depression Yo With the whole Germanwings suicide pilot shit going on and the medical records coming out, I got a question: Would any of you 9-5'ers hesitate now to visit the doctor for depression due to the fact that medical records can and WILL be totally open to employers in the future where there is any sort of human life responsibility? Thoughts? As someone who considers himself a futurologist I'd say this event will change the way airlines handle psychological issues with their pilots. What other industries might be affected? |

What did you do all month? When I had a personal tragedy 15 years ago, for 2 weeks I ordered a different $50 Pizza Hut custom pizza almost night, really kept my mind off shit. Played a LOT of Dark Age of Camelot too... hahaha |
a guy that worked on and off for us for the last 5 years has his demons and occasionally will kinda just disappear, i'm sure he has some sort of understanding with my boss because they are long time friends. However, i'd be interested to see how/if you continue to get paid and what reasoning/"proof" you need, the guy clearly has his issues cause apperenetly it's the type of thing where he wont get out of bed for 3 weeks, but at what point does the govt. try to get you back to work? |
