what should I bring for my short trip to Asia to back up my trip pictures

Hi to all

I will go to Japan and Hong Kong next week. I have no tablet, no laptop. I have an Android phone with 38 GB of space for storing pictures. In addition, I also will bring a portable digital camera with 32GB memory card.

My quick question is what is the best way to backup all the trip photos from my phone and digital camera to somewhere, should I get a portable wireless hard drive to store all the trip photos.

Please kindly advise ASAP.

Good point. But I prefer to back them up before I go back to Canada just in case the memory card fails somehow.

how about bringing multiples memory cards?
im going on a trip soon too and im just planning on bringing my phone and snap pictures with it. A camera as another alternative is not a bad idea also.

Just upgrade my Dropbox to a larger size for good. Thread can be closed now.

Why not get an acct with Google drive that way you don't pay for extra cloud storage.

https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/home

Start free trial before the trip... upload all photos (unlimited) while on the trip whenever you sleep (assuming you got internet). Come back, download everything, cancel plan and voila!

backing up gopro and high quality DSLR pictures like this isnt really an option when most of the time, at least in europe, the wifi connections were not good enough to be uploading hundreds of mb of pictures and video

I just carried a hard waterproof case and swapped cards after a few days

A friend of mine just bought an external HDD that has a card reader on it, I'm not sure how it all works but supposedly you can copy from the card to the HDD without a PC. Your best bet though really is multiple cards + cloud backups but that's only good if you have internet access (and even then uploading everything via a phone will suck).
