Chinese Lamb Skewers

Where can I get some good Chinese lamb skewers in Vancouver (Xinjiang-style, or just cumin lamb skewers) without going to Richmond?

I used to go to Nine Dishes (jiu dao), but it closed down recently. :(

bump.

i've been craving lamb skewers ever since returning from korea. they would have a restaurant or two serving it exclusively in each district but its a bit harder to find here.

so is it confirmed that nine dishes reopened in near metrotown?

There is a place on Kingsway and Stamford near Joyce area, across from Safeway, that has pretty good skewers. Same price, $1/skewer. Has lamb, beef, pork intestine, etc. but no chicken skewers. Careful with this place, their menu says $1/ea skewer but it comes in batches of 6 or 7 (I forget). Meaning it's $7 per order. The restaurant is small and cramped but does a good job imo

i ended up going to yu xiang yuan on fraser. their lamb skewers were good albeit a bit dry after rubbing the cumin and spice on it. for a northern china restaurant, i'd say its definitely up there in terms of quality.
