lawn mower and sprinkler Hey everyone, my project for the next little bit is to grow a new lawn. Looking ahead, I'm in the market for a lawn mower and sprinkler. Currently looking at these and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations/advice. Lawn mower - likely going with an electric. Ideally, you should lay sod/seed in early spring/fall due to the lower temps and rain. Please don't water your lawn during the day. |
I have the same lawn mower as i didn't want to spend too much. Been using it for 2yrs, about once a week since spring and it has been holding up fine. No complaints at all so far. Should be fine if you're not mowing acres of grass. I don't have any experience with that particular sprinkler. But my honest opinion is that it's not needed. Lawns really don't need THAT much water. Just go out there with a garden hose for 5min every night after dinner and your lawn will be fine. Plus sprinklers tend to over water and not distribute water too evenly. |
How big is the lawn you are growing? If it's big, I suggest getting a gas mower. |
hi-revs - thanks for the advice. Good to hear from someone who's using the same mower and it's working out cunninglinguist - it's a small lawn so I would prefer to stay away from gas |
