?? It is actually quite a serious topic. If union and corporate donations are banned in context with political parties, will and should they be banned in other 'public' institutions? In Surrey, a year or two ago, the school board rejected a significant donation offer from an energy(related) corporation where apparently computer classes would be more modernized in a sense. As a parent having some choice, this is significant. There is some social value created in where this money comes from. It does get a wee bit annoying when sometimes, literally, basically a computer does all the work. |

In other news, Alberta will allow the formation of US-style Political Action Commitees (PACs). Don't worry, the rich and powerful will always find a loophole to get theirs :smug: |
