Air Quality Anyone have their windows opened in their homes? Had mine open all day yesterday but there's a air quality warning and to limit staying outdoors |
Yes because I love camping and love the smoke!! Windows closed in the day and open during the night. The warning is mainly for older people and people that has or have had issues with their lungs. |

dragondragon99 reference I imagine... edit: ninja'd |
having 1 smoker near you is like 100x worse than the air outside currently. don't be a pussy. |
if you've got asthma issues then fine, bitch and complain about the poor air quality. if you're normally healthy then QUIT YOUR BITCHING. nothing is going to happen to you. |
Welcome to summer in BC. |
This is nothing compared to smog in China, or just walking in the city in China for one day which is equivalent to smoking a pack of cigarettes. |
It's like Beijing up in this bitch!! |
Gululu has launched a Chinese invasion upon us. |
Glad the weather is much cooler today. Got sick and tired of the heat lol. |
I got Respiratory issues, its really affecting me... Just leaving the house if I need to, staying in the building at work and not going out for lunch. I may not go to work tomorrow. |
Since I stopped smoking pot 17 days ago my lungs have seriously improved. This smoke ain't got SHIT on my former gram/day habit! |
had a brutal time at the gym today (open air to outside) |
No big deal for me, but a lot of people around me are getting sick :lol, complain about shit all the time. For me, the gloom just reminds me of my time in some parts of Korea and China :derp: |
In case anyone is keeping tabs on the actual air quality measurements: B.C.'s Air Quality Readings At the time of this posting, the PM2.5 rating is still sitting above the 24+ air quality objective landmark throughout the city. So please keep that in mind. Just because the air has cleared quite a bit compared to the worse day or two when the PM2.5 rating was sitting at 90+, we are still not out of this haze yet. Personally, I would still continue to follow the advisory measures and avoid outdoor activities as much as possible, stay in an air conditioned / filtered environment as much as possible, etc. Especially for those with respiratory issues, the young and elderly, please don't let your guard down just yet just because the air seems to have cleared somewhat. For comparison, I was looking at the Beijing US Embassy's real time air quality index (AQI) rating today. IIRC, this measures Beijing's PM2.5 pollution in the same manner as the BC Air Quality link above, and it has been a source of tension between the Chinese government and the US. It was consistently hovering anywhere between 120 - 160+ during the times when I was looking at it throughout the day. :heckno: |
