Car window frame picked at and scratched

Hey RS,

Some lowlife decided to sabotage my mom's brand new Accord by prying at the front, right window frame. Happened some time last night/morning in front of our house

I've never been in such a situation so I'm wondering what the correct courses of action are. I'm gonna report this to the police through the non-emergency line

Any advice would be appreciated!

If the damage is more than $300, report it then go through ICBC to get it repaired.

If it's under $300, fix it out of pocket.

Can you take a zoomed out picture so we can see the damage?

I can't even tell if I am looking at the top of the window frame or the bottom.

Yeah sorry about the pic. Made this post using my phone so it's a little difficult

I'll post more when I get home

updated pics. blotches of oil from the cunt's hand is smeared on the frame

Wow prying from the b pillar?! What a dumbest, that repair will cost you around 300-500+ depends on other internal damage. On top of replacing that plastic piece it may also need some repair/paint on the metal piece behind it. also if the glass is damage that might need replacing too. Get a claim going and book an appointment with icbc they will give you an initial estimated that will give you an idea if its worth claiming or fix out of your own pocket.

I am certain that low life POS saw something in the car, could be as stupid as a pack of gum trust me that is enough for these suckers to break in

So I'm not experienced at breaking into cars and shit but wouldn't it be a lot more efficient to smash the window?

v_tec 07-21-2015 08:40 PM

Over $300 for sure. ICBC claim it.
