android tablet w/ xbox 360 controller?

long story short. hurt my back, im pacing around the house and can't sit on my couch cuz it hurts. i forgot i have an old tablet (galaxy tab 2 7") just collecting dust on my shelf. its running snes9x.

- i dont know anything about phones or tablets, dont ask me what OS im running on the tab, but it is up to date enough.

- anyways, i tried connecting the wiimotes which a lot of people do to use as a game pad for their games. but it is not supported on the galaxy tab 2? i went through all 3 of my wiimotes and none worked.

- gave up and bought a 30 pin OTG usb adapter and hooked up my xbox 360 controller. it is a wireless controller but i am just using my cord that hooks it up to usb anyways. when connected to my tablet the ring on the xbox controller flashes, but will not connect

- my brother runs the same snes9x on his nexus 7 with a ps3 controller using an OTG adapter and it runs flawlessly.

- an app that everyone says online to download is "usb/joystick controller" but its no where on the app store or wtv. any other app either doesn't work, does not do whats advertised or needs my tablet to be rooted

i just want to fucking play some god damn fucking super nintendo and i can't fucking play my actual console because of injury

ANY HELP?

I don't think you can connect the wireless controller, even with the usb cable.

bruh you can....i did it and people in public were going crazy thinking i had some new playstation tablet with a ps3 controller in my hand playing games :toot::rukidding:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ychecker&hl=en

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ntroller&hl=en

you need to root your tablet first, google root then "Brand of your model tablet".

download sixaxiscompatibilitychecker to check if its fully rooted, get ps3 controller...plug into pc,download the sixaxiscontroller app.....find the mac address of the bluetooth ps3 controller...enter the numbers in the app on android, click connect.....BOOM...you got it.

BOOM...any game on android will work wirelessly..you just need a old ps3 controller or buy a brand new one for cheap at 30 dollars at bestbuy

Samsung bt stack doesn't work well with console game controllers last time I checked.

I have a wired 360 controller that works just fine on my Nexus 7. I remember when I was looking for info about it that the wireless controller would have problems and it was just a pain to get it to work. That being said, people have gotten it to work. A wired controller, however, is simply plug and play.

uh strange,my 2013 Samsung note 10.1 accepted it fine..i was just scared about the whole root process but i got it going.
i guess if wired is plug & play that's even better..no 3 dollar apps.

another option is to get a MOGA controller. http://www.mogaanywhere.com/

they have a ton of games supported for it.. no need to root just download the app .. no cables nothing just bluetooth

this is the one I have

http://www.mogaanywhere.com/controllers/propower

works wonders with SNES roms on my android devices + GTA games :fullofwin:
