I can see where you are coming from though as my brother often feels the same. Reminds me of that Mr. Skinner line in the Simpsons 'Am I so out of touch? No, it's the children who are wrong'. But, on one hand you have the hottest rapper in the game and on the other you have an almost has-been (I'm a fan of Dre but he hasn't been that relevant as far as music goes in the past few years. His sound hasn't evolved much in my opinion.). I assume you are over 30, just like most of Dre's fans. Most of my friends (I'm 34) will download Dre's album and won't even give it a second thought to actually pay for it. A lot of the younger generation that I know, cousins, nieces, nephews, friend's children, will actually ask for iTunes cards and buy albums, rather than pirate them, more than anyone I know.
On topic though, I haven't listened to the album yet and I hope it doesn't suck as much as I think it will. I just hope he had people writing for him that can make it sound authentic coming from him. As long as some of his guests can save it that's all you can really ask for. |
