Where to get EP3 timing done?
 

Hello folks, new EP3 owner here.

My '02 EP3 sounds like a diesel! (194k kilos)

I got the valve lash done at Carter Honda, but it has not fixed it. They also told me over there that I would have to get a new timing chain, tensioner, guides, etc, eventually, as mine looked stretched, and is probably the source of the sound. It has not jumped a tooth yet, but I have a feeling it might soon. They said it would be at least a $2000 job.

What do you guys feel about that? Should I get it done at Carter Honda, or do you have a recommendation on a different garage that might do it for cheaper? It is only noticeable under load, and seems louder when engine is warm. All signs point to timing it would seem.
