Z32 300zx Ebrake adjust? Tried adjusting me E-brake from the bolt below it. Didnt work. I apparently have to adjust it from behind the wheel. i know theres like a plug that needs to be twisted behind the rotor i think....can someone tell me how to properly do this? |
The process is not difficult to do; it's time consuming. Stop block all wheels touching the ground. Release e-brake. Jack-up your car. Take the wheel off. Put the car in neutral; you need the spin the rear wheel freely to test your adjustments. Locate the e-brake adjustment hole. It is usually protected by a rubber seal: http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...Picture093.jpg Rotate the brake rotor, so the hole is lined up with the adjuster in the picture below: http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...r_brake_10.jpg Using a flat head screw driver, rotate the adjuster until you cannot rotate the rotor by hand. Now, using the adjuster, release the e-brake by 4 clicks. |

On a side note....Anyone have an extra rubber plug for the rotor? was taking mine out and somehow it got swallowed in the rotor and sits on the bottom. |
just remove the drum cover and get the rubber piece. might need a smack to loosen it free. |
