Parking in Vancouver

Just wondering if there are time limits or laws to parking on streets with no signs or meters?

For example, off of Cambie and W 5th, the first few blocks have meters and then signs that say 1 Hr parking but then the entire next block would have no signs, does this mean you are able to park here for an entire day?

Unless there are signs that clearly state no stopping/parking for a certain area, it should be fine to park. I'm a bit skeptical about Cambie and 5th though seeing as it's a very populated commercial area. I would be extra careful before parking there for the whole day.

if no signs and you dont live infront of the house
between 8am-6pm you can only park there for 3 hours.
after 6pm its free game

It's not a house, it's a commercial building of some sort. What if I park near the park (or A park)? There's no signs there as well

Technically if you don't live at or work on that block you're allowed 3 hours.

Whether or not it gets enforced is up in the air. Maybe you can google earth us the location.

You're good at the park, but not at the other spots. When I'm in the area, i try to park on the parkside, but the spots fill up pretty quick around there.

Parking next to properties you don't own or work at: the "three-hour bylaw"
Section 17.6 (f): Between 8:00am and 6:00pm every day, do not park your vehicle for more than 3 hours in front of residential or commercial properties that you do not own or work at.
The 3-hour bylaw restricts all-day commuter parking to allow daytime access for residents to their homes and for business owners and employees to their workplaces.
