Turn signal issues
 

Purchased car recently and all turn signals were working fine. I noticed however that the front right signal was not flashing, and would only come on as a solid light only. Took the bulb out and realized the front signals were both LED bulbs. Replaced with regular halogen bulbs as a cheap fix. Worked fine for about a day, then both stopped working. Took the bulbs out again, and both had blown out. Put the LED bulbs back in to check if they'd work, and nothing. Have tried regular halogen bulbs as well but nothing. The rear turn signals have had no issues.

Checked the wiring today and found 3 wires going into the 1157 connector, red, green, and black. Getting 11.1-11.2VDC with the lights on at the terminals where the red and green wires feed into. There is continuity across all three terminals as well.

Any ideas what to look at next?

Check the flasher.

Are the signals hyper-flashing?

Check your signal fuses and the flasher relay. Even if the circuit tests okay with a multimeter, the current can drop once a load is applied to it.

No hyper flash. I took apart the flasher relay and reflowed all the solder points last night. The signals flash again but the DRL doesn't work. The turn signals also double as the DRL on the NA Miata. I probably need to reflow the DRL module as well.
