sorry its acutally gx1 got the phone from asia. tried my koodo sim card but its not picking up network. can someone help?

check the APN settings. Most unlock phones needs you to manually input the APN, LTE and MMS.

can you make/receive calls with it? When you put your sim card does it give you a sim card error?

It doesn't give me any similar card errors. I can't make calls or send text. It only says no service

It doesn't work on Telus/Koodo. Incompatible bands. Only works on Bell 3G using one band. Fido and Rogers only 2G.
