How did I miss this? New LS concept is a 6 wheel luxury van! Totally support the LS changing from a sedan to a van, S-class rules supreme for luxury sedan so time to change it up.

Looks like its final. 2026 is the last year they will produce my v8 ratrolla.
End of an era for lexus and their complete and utter downfall.

https://www.autonews.com/toyota/lexu...articleGifting

2026 will also be the last of the Lexus Racing program as now everything is rolled into GR brand. What an utter waste of all the goodwill and performance marque of "F" & LFA to only now throw it all in the trash and start again with the GR.

Thanks for increasing my resale i guess? but im utterly disappointed in lexus and toyota. its so depressing.

JDMDreams 01-29-2026 08:45 PM

Are you gonna buy one just to collect? Since last na V8 none hybrid

Badhobz 01-29-2026 08:47 PM

nope. i aint giving those retards anymore money.

My ratrolla doesnt even have 10,000kms on it yet and its over 4 years old. Collector enough

My next purchase will be a chinese EV van.

Sad to see Lexus performance and racing become a forgotten thing of the past. They had some serious results in IMSA under Vasser Sullivan's RC-F campaign battle up against bigger and global teams with serious financial backing.

RIP Lexus

Like Badhobz, Toyota likely won't see any of my money anytime soon. (I still want a Crown) :D

Badhobz 02-02-2026 04:00 PM

Values are shooting up.

In BAT and KBB, my 2022 convertible went from 83-88k --> 103-105k USD since the announcement.

ya'll should get one if you can. I don't think you'll lose a penny since they've sold ~20,000 units globally (15,000 from the USA and a handful from the rest of the world). Canada has sold fewer than 1,000 since 2018.

I just checked fecesbook and Craigslist, none available :heckno:

OriginalJC 02-03-2026 04:38 AM

I'm cross shopping an LC or 718 Spyder, but pretty much the only ones available in Canada are in ON/QC. Prices on both are getting fairly high :-\

68style 02-03-2026 08:38 AM

That’s a strange cross shop, you either want a sports car or you want a luxury GT cruiser

bcrdukes 02-03-2026 09:42 AM

One is also more reliable than the other. :D

If the goal is just to pick up a weekend car, you don't have to be ultra-precise about how you're going to have that fun. Fun is fun! :)

OriginalJC 02-03-2026 11:38 AM

I want nice naturally aspirated a drop top, that will hold its value and be decently reliable. Don't stomp on my midlife crisis/dreams

And I don't want a miata

bcrdukes 02-03-2026 11:46 AM

Why not just get both an LC and 718?

decently reliable and a Porsche?

*snort* heh sure buddy. *snort*

get a miata :alonehappy:

Gerbs 02-03-2026 02:45 PM

I thought Porsche's are reliable, also heard they're the cheapest of the super cars you can buy in terms of maintenance.

We're talking < $10K over a 5-year ownership period for maintenance assuming nothing major.

noclue 02-03-2026 03:13 PM

Oil changes for a beetle is $700 at a dealer and $400 at an indy.
LC500 you can probably run 87 octane and get oil changes at Mr lube and it'll still be reliable lol.

a bitch ass beetle is in no way or form a fucking super car. how dare you utter such nonsense. if thats a super car than red neck hick vettes and mustangs are also super cars.

yuck.

roastpuff 02-03-2026 04:37 PM

Considering we got Corvette ZR1X and Mustang GTD that can spank Lambos and Ferraris...

Porsches are reliable (for a German car) but by no means are they the cheapest of the supercars for maintenance IMO due to the engine placement.

Why not? Not enough power? Couldn't you just boost it?

Badhobz 02-03-2026 04:54 PM

Yeah, but still a "normal car" that's been modified. Hell you can modify anything to insane performance. That's not what a supercar is.

A supercar is a bespoke, low-volume car with very exaggerated and specialized styling, interesting engine options, serving as a halo product from an exotic automaker. Basically limited to Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren, Lotus, and other low volume exotics. How the hell would anyone consider a bitch ass beetle with a lousy Subaru engine a "supercar" is a bridge too far for me.

dark0821 02-03-2026 05:48 PM

but Lotus uses Toyota Engines.... (not even the exciting yota engines)

anyways.... just wanted to remind everyone what driving experience we are striving for....

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17ugXYueiy/

Gawd..... that clic clak of the gated shifter and that V8 shriek.... its fast enough... fark...

JDMDreams 02-03-2026 06:34 PM

I'm curious to see how the lotus Electra is? Apparently they should be much cheaper if there's no tariffs

And you want a bitch ass Subaru engine beetle. Pssshhhh. How can you compare to that v8 ?!?!?

bcrdukes 02-03-2026 07:22 PM

The world is flat and so is your next car’s engine! :troll:

If it costs $400 2x a year to run a beetle, I'm in :concentrate:

You can't be buying $100-150K cars and be worried about 87 vs 91, ruins the ownership experience
