Why not? Not enough power? Couldn't you just boost it?
I will admit, I've never even sat in a Miata. And I know it's universally seen as a great drivers car. But I already have an FL5 that I'm planning to keep, and looking for a higher end convertible to have as a fair weather weekender.
if ya got an FL5, then dont get a porsche. you dont need 2 hurt your ass, rock hard sports car that'll beat you up. LC is the answer... if you can find one.
I have test driven a 718 Spyder. Normal sports seats were ok, and suspension hasn't too harsh. But I will say the early 2010's interior was a bit of a let down. Analog, yes. Cigarette ashtray and CD player, meh. LC interior wins hands down for sure
porsche interiors are all clinical and uninspired. Their new-er interior is like a plastic trash bin full of piano black and lazy aesthetic choices (screens everywhere).
I think their peak interior was probably 997.2 where its mostly buttons and analogue gauges. If you can find one with the full leather interior package thats NOT boring ass black, it looks quite good on the 997.2

997 had trash materials though. That era of Germans all had trash materials.
its still all trash materials. But at least the 997.2 looks better than the modern stuff.
The only German marque I like is BMW. They know their products are an unreliable, butt fuck ugly mess, and they don't care. It still drives amazingly, and is decently priced. Bang-to-buck ratio is high.

Agreed with this my friend has a FK8 for the track and a 996 GT3 also for the track and he's like wtf am i gonna do with two track cars LOL
He ended up getting a Model 3 for a daily and he's so much happier than trying to dual duty either.
I also don't daily my FK8 anymore. It's too much car for the street. Did it when I had to, don't have to anymore so I don't LOL

I was looking at panamera, taycans lately, and yes they have super boring interiors, all black on black, black plastic, a lot of them are poverty spec with blank buttons, no buttons in the back, for similar money you can get BMW m cars with way more colour, design, same with S63 a lot of them is just everything black interior + black carbon trim
Maybe Badhobz sells me his LC, and he gets a new one?
they arent making anymore. all allocation's are spoken for and gone so you cant even get a new one if you tried. Plus the MSRP ballooned from 130k (when i bought it) to now 150k in the 4 years since i owned mine. what the hell!? 20k more just cuz you tacked on an ugly screen?
Highlights:
-Hoard spans everything from a beaten up Chevy S10 to a Ferrari FF.
-Bought the E63 AMG sight unseen.
-Bought the Exige sight unseen.
-Picked up an STI as a "compliance car": unspoken rule in their neighborhood that you must drive a Subaru.
-Bought a GT3 because it was the "logical" thing to do.

I didn't. Brother moved to the US for work. So I got the car in my profile picture back as a daily. Well that and I lent my FK8 to my friend to use for a bit, cause otherwise it's just sitting there LOL.
CVT life is the good life LOL. big chilling zero fucks given, jamming out to my music, its not loud, its not stiff, steering is light and still direct, aside from no power, it's great
