Any automotive service advisor positions out there?

I usually don't use RS to post something like this but I've recently been laid off and am looking for work as an automotive service advisor.

I've gone through the usual markets (CL, Indeed.ca, etc) but netted very little results.

I was hoping to see if anyone on RS knows or am at a dealer that is hiring but may not be openly advertising it.

I've been an advisor for 7 years, and spent the last 3 at high end dealers, posting good numbers and great CSI. Was ranked in the top 3 in the country last year for a luxury brand.

I'm open to any sort of advisor work in the lower mainland. I live in Richmond, so anything in the surrounding area would be great. My car is leased so unfortunately Langley/Coquitlam/North Van would be out of the question due to restrictions =(

Please help!

Thank you all!

Nothing to lose by trying to get in with one of the Translink company's.
Making the switch from dealership to Translink is well worth it. No more having to rely on flatrate or bonuses. Benefits are way better too

OpenRoad VW on Boundary is hiring for all positions iirc.

Did you make the switch? Were you a technician?

Puck Luck 02-09-2016 08:27 PM

yes and yes. Except i still am a technician, just no longer with Honda, but with a local transit company that seems to be in the news for all the wrong reasons lately.
:suspicious:

Funny enough, about a month or 2 after i started, another guy from a different Honda dealer started too. Now we hang out together.
Lots of pluses and a few minuses to our new careers, but we both agree, we're in way better positions now

Not sure if anyone is still looking for a service advisor position, but I know Midas (on Main) is looking to hire a junior service advisor now. Pay is entry level because the job is entry level, but hey, nothing wrong with that if you are just starting out.
