This sounds like entrapment...lol

What I do is speed all the time...so if I get caught, it doesn't seem that bad.

If you speed just once and get caught, then that sucks. How unlucky were you?!

But if you speed all the damn time, it's just like paying a fee to go faster. I'm going on 10 years without a speeding ticket despite going at least 80 everywhere. $300 for 10 years worth of speeding will be worth it.

They'll still catch the really drunk ones. The ones too drunk to check their phones

Given the APP is designed to warn drivers of speed traps and road blocks it is there to help them not get nabbed doing ILLEGAL things.

You said "using app that will aid in your further illegal activities". I assume you meant "in addition" to using your phone while driving, what other further illegal activities are you talking about aside from evading speed traps and road blocks?

What if a law abiding citizen wants to use it just to save time and hassle?

People instantly thinks that whoever uses it, are speeding, drug trafficking, drunk driving, etc. Lol.

Save time and hassle? Roadblocks never took me more than 10 seconds. They stick their head in and if they don't smell booze, worst case scenario they'll ask a couple questions and get you on your way.
Please pray someone you give a shit about don't get hit by a drunk driver because you didn't want to be inconvenienced and therefore joined and supported a wechat group that gave a drunk driver a heads up about a roadblock

Where are roadblocks generally set up? Feels like I'm missing out or something.

In my 13 years of driving, I've only encountered ONE roadblock ever...

Maybe you don't drive anytime after 10 PM.

Horrible platform for both those ideas. For places you ate at and movies you just saw both require some context to reply. Whether it be a small comment or a full on review. A forum would better present the information, plus it would be much easier to find older replies.

Whatsapp groups are good for somethings but it's going to be flooded with spam and questions which will bury any sort of useful information. And the search function is not reliable.

TLDR: RS is life.

No idea. I do stay within Vancouver for majority of my commute. Probably be too much trouble if cops blocked off major streets.
The one road block I went through was in some back road in Burnaby

Didnt see whats wrong with reporting speed traps. speed trap notice and speed trap serve the same purpose -- slowing down drivers (technically speaking). only diff is one generate money to the government and the other dont.

I went through 2 in a span of 5 minutes once.
Coming back from adult hockey in North Van. North Van RCMP had a road block set up on the bridge. After that I continued down hwy 1 and took the Willington exit to go to the casino and there was a Burnaby RCMP road block there.

In the winter time, counter attack road blocks are a regular thing when I leave 8 rinks after a late night hockey game. Guess there is a reason they call it beer league. :drunk:

You can use Google Maps as GPS from your location to destination to see if there's a road block although it could be mistaken as an accident, only works if it's late at night. Road blocks will show up as 'traffic' since the flow of traffic has slowed down or stopped.

I'm guessing I'd be looking for roads with yellow congestion as opposed to a huge red streak of congestion. Road blocks don't cause rush hour levels of congestion haha
