suavecito extra hold is crazy. i have really course hair and it works amazing |
The products i'm currently using is: Kevin Murphy Night Rider/Rough Rider (Great for fine hair as the product is thick!) Hanz de Fuko Claymation Crew Fiber (Easy to apply and style but doesn't hold for long) KMS Hair play molding paste (Used this for a very long time when I used to cut my hair short) |
so im giving the suavecito pomade a shot. So far has held my hair pretty decent. Hard for it to fully go back as its had many years of pointing forward and now im trying to change it lol will report back when my hair grows out some more |

KMS sea salt spray + OSIS+ flexwax http://images.ulta.com/is/image/Ulta/2236776?$detail$ http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/qyAAAO...tUK/s-l300.jpg towel dry hair, sea salt spray wet hair again, blow dry hair into shape, at this point the sea salt spray already makes ur hair somewhat keeps its shape as long as its not standing up, then apply flex wax. i find this combo to be pretty good and lasts pretty much the whole day. my biggest pet peeve with wax/clays is that if it takes more than 2 washes to wash all the wax/clay off then it is no good. hate the feeling of tacky hair some clay products leave behind even after multiple washes |
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...nL._SY355_.jpg had to increase the strength of product as my hair got longer (down to the chin now) from KMS paste, Uppercut pomade, Johnny B #4 and #5, Deuxer #5 and now that D FI hair went from side part, high and tight pulled back / pomp. I recommend blow drying, product and then hair spray. |
http://www.alternativehairproducts.c...icken%20up.jpg 3-4 Drops of this on damp hair + blow dry and a comb nothing else needed. It's all about pre-styling you can have the best/strongest hold wax/gel/pomade in the world but without a good shape/base to work with you're gonna end up using too much product to try and achieve the look you want and throughout the day the all that product will weigh the hair down. With product I find less is more works for my hair. |

i'm using imperial fiber pomade http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...LL._SY355_.jpg holds pretty well and easy to work with also love how easy it is to wash out |

Any recommendation for NO SHINE WHAT SOEVER strong-hold pomade? |
Where can you pick up suavecito extra hold locally? |
Can anyone recommend anything that allows a stronger hold than any Gatsby moving rubber once dry? I've been using the pink (when hair is short) and green (when hair is long right now) to volumize and do the messy style, then lock it in place with hairspray, but I'd like to forgo the hairspray altogether if possible. I've actually never tried any clays before aside from the ones they use at the hair salons after you get a haircut and they ask if you want wax/clay :derp: In case anyone was wondering, it's for the longer Asian messy style, not the shorter styles like a combover that I usually rock only in late summer early fall |
I don't know why you guys are going with crazy expensive difficult to find stuff (unless you have allergies or want some sort of sheen, etc) If I want my hair to be stiff, I use Alberto Fibre Wax. I got them before at Superstore. Very strong I'm also using some really cheap Gatsby wax (bought it in Japan for $4 Canadian) for my day to day. If I need it to be stiffer, I spray a small amount of hair spray. |

i buy suavecito from there site. The stuff is a bit more then store stuff but i find there stuff holds the best, Also they got greats tee's on there site and free shipping over 50 or 75 bucks |
i always have a bald fade, pretty short and tight on top. So it is easy to style. For the guys saying they cant get the hold, Blow dry your hair and put the product in when the hair is still has some heat. Like others have posted you do not need much when the hair is dry. |
bumble and bumble sumotech best i've used for the dry matte look, can be bought at sephora http://images.bellezzaspa.com/shop/m...le-wax-300.jpg |

My main issue is that almost all of the waxes/pomades I've used wash out almost instantly when I sweat. The Fiber Grease I posted is water soluble, but does not dissolve against sweat. I can sweat bullets and not worry about a mop top after LOL. |
lol i bought a 32oz tub of suavecito. this will last me a lifetime claymation is good for a matte type look but doesnt have the hold that i need (w/o hairspray) |
Layrite and suavecito tubs at royal oak barber if anyone is looking for some. Don't know price haven't asked |
https://www.amazon.ca/Bed-Head-Matte.../dp/B002N5MI2S Is what I have been using. Usually get a solid hold if mousse + hairstyle is applied afterward |
