I got my friend to sign up too, former owner of my current S2000. He's also a 1st timer and he'll be in his C2S.

yep - a lot of students request for certain instructors - sometimes its like 4 people requesting for the same guy

to make it more fair - i have a chat meeting with the instructors and show them the list of students to see who would like to instruct what

some instructors are better for different platform (4wd, FF, RWD etc.) - so having them in their comfort zone translates to better teaching for the student

My Instructor is going to love/hate me lol. My feet are too big in my car to properly heel/toe so I hope they don’t roast me too badly

We have not. Alan and I work in the same building. When our paths cross, we chat about cars. If I can get my act together, we'll likely meet at the Ridge in August.

Just curious if anyone can give me some advice for camping. Do they allow camping in their parking lot? Are there any campgrounds people regularly use close by? Suggestions? I'm trying to decide whether to bust out a tent and camp or rent a hotel. I'm skeptical on the hotel since my bike will be in a trailer in the open. Kind of worried someone will drive away with it over night. Before someone says it "get a trailer lock" I have one but the trailer (uhaul motorcycle trailer) does not work with pin locks.

you may camp at the paddock for $30 USD per person

If you park at the hotel (Little Creek) they have security roaming around the parking lots quite frequently so its pretty safe

Many people usually just unload their uhaul trailer at the paddock first and then go to the Hotel or they just park at the hotel

Hope that helps

Thanks, it does. I do have another question. You said people drop their uhaul trailers off at the paddock? There is a paddock at the track (i'm assuming just a chain link fence or something)? How late are you able to drop stuff off there? Do you need to let anyone know ahead of time you plan on dropping a trailer off?

since camping is allowed overnight at the paddock
there is someone on security duty there so you can drop it off pretty much at anytime you want - just need to show up.

just be mindful as you do not want to disturb other people who paid to camp at the paddock

yep - its a cheaper alternative than the hotel ($30 only to camp at the paddock)

Dumb question: gates open 7am, tech opens 7:15. Will there be enough time to at least swap over to track wheels?

Super nübe if you can’t tell

gates will be open earlier actually since people can camp the night before for $30 USD per person

however - common courtesy to let people sleep in til 7AM so you do not want to wake them up

with that being said - you can either
a) change the wheels first then get the car tech'd before 830AM (Drivers meeting)
b) bring the car to get tech'd and inform the tech inspector to check your track wheels to make sure it will pass - then change the wheels over

Hopefully everyone had a fun day yesterday with us at the ridge and a safe drive home!

Yesterday was VERY hot - lots of cars were starting to get slippery throughout the track but despite some accidents the event ran very smoothly.

It has been brought to my attention that couple of guys had some flat tires - at this time we are not sure if it was from the track or an unknown source - but I have brought this to the attention of the Ridge's Management and they are looking to see if something on the track is causing this issue.

With that being said - our next event is on June 17th, 2018

At the moment June track day groups are as follows:
Group A: 15/25
Group B: 25/25 (Waitlist: 0/25)
Group C: 1/25

I will only be giving motorcycles until: May 26th, 2018 for sign up
If we do not reach a minimum of 15/25 motorcycles by May 26th, Group C will become a car group

June: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...ark-tss-524049

July: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...ark-tss-786494

August: https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...ark-tss-213604
