if you browse bcit website there's usually a grad employment survey that shows how many surveyed that found a job within x months, and get paid x dollars.

use that a best case baseline vs what someones friend said they make

Let's not waste time here, OP (aka Joe45).

You've asked about plumbing, before: http://www.revscene.net/forums/46295...me-trades.html

You should write a book about being stuck in a loop. The world goes on. People get married. They have kids. They die. Meanwhile, you're still deciding what you want to do with life, and posting questions that you asked 10 years ago. What is it like, not ever taking a single piece of advice from parents, friends, or experienced forum folk?

Construction the only industry where any knuckle dragging moron can make 100k a year within 4 years.

How is OP so skeptical of 'dead end jobs' when he's worked 12 years in his current position and is making $12 an hour? At this point, to me it seems like ANYTHING is better than your current situation. Take the leap and better yourself, will most likely lead to a better future.

I am sure he makes more than $12/hr. Even entry level customer service jobs are 14 to 15/hour. Since he work at the same job for 12 years He should be making at least $18/hr.

Come join the military. There's many trades you can pick from whether you decide to join in unskilled or semi skilled. You can join the paid education program and become an officer with a bachelor's degree. Don't listen to the people that say it's for dumb people. In Canada we receive so much training and qualifications beyond what a normal civilian does.
