That's $300k more than the family had before the father died. Good for the people of HK to step and at least give his wife and daughter a chance at life.

I find that Vietnamese people are very neutral to strangers. That can often be perceived as hostile since we are in Vancouver and everyone pretends to be nice.

However, I also noticed that if you have a mutual friend/connection, they are quick to treat you like a part of their 'crew'.
