whens to the best time to buy set of tires

Would it be right now since rebates only happens during the Spring?

320icar 03-19-2016 03:49 PM

Right now. Costco has their tires on sale

Urrtoast 03-19-2016 03:53 PM

I would think best time is when you need them.

Recon604 03-19-2016 04:01 PM

My tires needs to be replaced before next season. I can use them till the end of this summer. Figured I can save some money with the rebates as I recall rebates dont happen during the summer

People tend to make the switch to summers when the temps remain consistently above 7-deg.C.

If your looking at name brands, the Spring and Winter are best. This is when most have rebates on and many tire places also have deals.

I find the best is to be planning ahead. I try and buy my winters in the spring, and my summers in late fall. BUT, I'm putting enough KM's on my tires that the fact that I might buy "one year old" tires isn't going to cause me any issues. I hit the wear bars long before they stale-date.

Otherwise, I'd be buying them when they're on-sale and rebates are available. So usually the beginning of each season.

Canadian Tire has 20x-30x extra Canadian Tire money this weekend (that's at least $80) for even tires that are not that common eg Got a set for my X6. Along with the usual rebates etc.. I find their online prices competitive with Costco's.

swiftshift 04-16-2016 08:43 PM

Costco is a great place to go, check it out IMO?

GIZZ 04-23-2016 09:09 AM

The Michelin rebate ends May 15 this yr. Costco prices are good locally but we always beat their price. Plus they can't do alignments.

honestly if you dont mind picking up from point Roberts, i would order from tire rack.

Why do you support US businesses? With today's current exchange rate plus the duties/import taxes plus the hassle of lining up at the border crossings, it is not worth the effort. Just support your local tire retailer. That's what I just did with my new tires. I bought them from Volvo/1010Tires. If they have any defects, it's easy to get a replacement because you're dealing with a local retailer.

need recommendations for my 03 accord

continent pure contacts etc

whitev70r 06-20-2016 07:42 AM

Get a set from TireRack.com, have them shipped to an official installer in Bellingham, make an apt to have them installed, drive down, leave car, have lunch ... cheaper than anything you can get locally.
