Need help with compustar shock sensor Car got broken into again. Broke window.. Would have thought sensor would have picked it. Today tried to check it. Went all the way up and down on sensor..but nothing. Can somebodyOn boards check this Thanks |
no surprise it didn't go off with a broken window with the tools thieves use these days its almost silent and no bumping action to set it off. did you turn the shock sensor up and then try banging on the door? also do you have a glass break? what brain do you have? |
It's a separate sensor for window breaking. |
Unfortunately it's rather misleading from the manufacturers, they often call their "shock" sensor a "glass/impact sensor". An actual glass break sensor has a mic to pick up high pitched sounds (ie. sound of glass breaking). The shock sensor is just an impact sensor. It basically senses heavy vibration and triggers the alarm. The problem is you can break a window without impacting the vehicle hard. Where did this break in take place? |
Best alarm mod I've ever had is the dual zone proximity. Zone 1 is right outside the door, zone 2 is anything inside the vehicle. Zone 1 gives a warning beep and alerts the remote. Zone 2 triggers full alarm. Berz out. |
