too bad i cant use my LaFerrari, have to take the mclaren p1 to use the HOV

I didnt know the 918 or the P1 were plug in hybrids...did the govt mess up?

The VW eGolf is not even sold in Canada not sure why it is in the list.

Yep, they are both plug in hybrids.

Does this sticker have security features built into it? What's stopping people from creating copies of this sticker just so they can use the HOV lane?

maybe if you bought one from the US and brought it over, or for tourists coming up across the border from WA state to visit? i dunno...

my assumption is that whatever law enforcement that monitors HOV lane usage will have the list above to identify qualifying vehicles.... ie. slapping this sticker on your Hummer ain't going to work :p
