I might take the bus or train down.

I don't have any fancy equipment. I'll bring my tripod along with my old Canon T2i with Tamron 17-50 f2.8 lens. Not sure if I should bother bringing my do it all travel lens, a Sigma 18-250.

im just going to be coming so i could learn a few tips and tricks. Should i bring a t2i or a t5i? Is there a much difference in these two models ?

Well about 3 generations of new technology... bring the t5i if you have the option

I should be able to make it down, not sure if I am gonna drive or transit

Sounds good to me, transit is great. I'll be driving, don't know where i'll be coming from but I can most likely give some rides back to Richmond if anyone is interested afterwards.

Just so everyone knows, i'm not the all knowing photographer (I do know a bit of stuff though) and don't have a plan or route for this photo-walk. Just want to meet up with some people and have some fun shooting and learning from each other.

I was thinking maybe we could have a friendly best photo competition from today? We can make a post in the Off Topic forum and get all of Revscene to vote, without knowing who took the picture with what equipment. Winner gets, bragging rights! Cool? People can submit to me their favorite image, and i'll post up and do all the work.
