Just look at what happened in seattle when they pulled this crap all the small businesses packed up and went to smaller towns to get around it.

As a small business owner, if the min. Wage went up to $15, I will need to pay my managers more than the idiot that makes $15 or it won't be fair. My staff will be cut in half, your bbt will cost $10, you're wait time will be half an hour, I will have to use the shittiest quality of ingredients, or I'll probably be out of business like the other 90% of businesses out there.

RS discount on The BBT Shop? I always go there in downtown :fullofwin: 4Head

Just wondering, why isn't there a durian flavour ? I tried searching last week in DT location but no durian available.

Anyways, back on topic....

These are at Schiphol in Amsterdam too, I felt very welcomed compared to the typical McDonald's employee

i think only a handful of places follow Universal Welfare systems, i can see how that makes sense, those that don't need it will spend it wastefully, those that need it will spend it on their day to day needs, both groups put the money back into the economy

“I was at the National Restaurant Show yesterday and if you look at the robotic devices that are coming into the restaurant industry -- it’s cheaper to buy a $35,000 robotic arm than it is to hire an employee who’s inefficient making $15 an hour bagging French fries -- it’s nonsense and it’s very destructive and it’s inflationary and it’s going to cause a job loss across this country like you’re not going to believe,” said former McDonald’s (MCD) USA CEO Ed Rensi

he is 1000% on point. Every province must look things differently and adjust according to their cost of living. Just lol @ places like Michigan having $15.00 min wage. No one will afford anything and no one will get jobs!

Pretty flawed logic. If that robotic arm is there it doesn't matter if the employee gets paid 5.00 or 30.00 an hour. Their job will be eliminated regardless, its just matter of if its tomorrow or in a year or 2.
If the option of automation is as efficient as he believes, the wage is basically irrelevant, because that robotic fry arm is going to pay for its self pretty fucking fast.
Its trying to prove his point because he has an obvious personal issue with people getting paid that much.

100% right. Even at $5 a hour Mcdicks would have to pay $120 for a 24 hour period times that by 365 days that's $43800 in wages that's not including all the other expenses. One robot making fries would replace 3 or 4 employees at the very minimum.

i don't see why a lot of jobs at mcds couldnt be automated.
they already automated drinks at the drive thru, i can totally see them automating the making of food as well.

At least my Fillet o' Fish would be put together right. Haven't had a nicely made one in like........... ever.

Cheese half off the bun, sauce dripping down the bun, fish over-nuked, etc.

EDIT: just saw nabs' post, lol. That's about right..............

GLOW 05-27-2016 10:41 AM

or it'll be correct and not have missing items or wrong item.
that's why you have to look in your bag to ensure the order is right or else you'll be leaving disappointed or short on food

Obsideon 05-27-2016 09:35 PM
