Because the vehicle is driveable icbc will not pay for him to stay in a rental vehicle. Its a crappy rule and very annoying for the customer but the bodyshop does work for icbc and have to follow their rules. Its not as simple as getting oem everything as people make you believe, icbc makes the bodyshop jump through alot of hoops because afterall they are a business. | Yeah, something like that. I think they had an aftermarket fender prepared, but I'm supposed to get an oem fender as per my insurance that I have. Whomever they're getting the oem fender from won't air delivery it, so it's will take a week for ground delivery.
I don't know who's fault it is, but at this point, I'm just hoping everything gets fixed flawlessly without any issues the first time around, and the 1+ month wait will then be worth it.
I'll report once my car's fixed, but OP most likely would have chosen a shop by then. Although last week when I talked to Fastrack, they said their current wait time is all the way until mid June. |
