iPhone Unlocking Question
 

Hey guys,

I have heard from people that all iPhone's are actually unlocked regardless of which carrier you purchase them from excluding Apple Store?

Scenario 1;
- You get a IPHONE 6 from Fido --> NO SIM CARD has ever been put into the phone.. YOU PUT YOUR BELL SIM CARD into the IPHONE 6 you have just gotten from FIDO
- And it will now default lock it to Bell? (meaning you can use it on Bell and ONLY BELL)
Just wondering if anyone has information on this as I am trying to get a new IPHONE 6 as my plan is up for renewal however the intended carrier I want to use this phone is Bell..

Any information is greatly appreciated..

The unlocked iPhone case is only for virgin iPhones from Apple store IIRC. If you get an iPhone from a provider, it would already be registered to the carrier.

been registered to the carrier before it even touches the store. Only unlocked if purchased from Apple directly
