What's the solution?

There's basically two outcomes here...we either make peace or we kill them all. And it doesn't seem like peace even has a chance.

Adorkami 07-17-2016 03:05 PM

problem with killing them all is there will always be another "them"

tiger_handheld 07-17-2016 04:04 PM

Some big shot needs to go out on TV and say .. we are even steven's now... .

2 black lives killed
5 blue lives killed

we are fucken even

PO PO should no longer respond calls to gun violence... let the gangbangers drug dealers wife beats run free for a little bit... and let the conceal and carry folk take care of business themselves. It'll be Purge ...Election year...

This thread is pointless as it doesn't discuss anything not in other threads. I can see this going off on tangents every time some nutbar goes off.

World is not ending. Neither is Europe. In fact, if our parents had the access to the same mass media as we do now, they would have thought the world was ending in the 70s.

Charted: Terror attacks in Western Europe from the 1970s to now ? Quartz

Quote:

Between 1970 and 1994, however, terrorist attacks in Europe were much more common. From Northern Ireland’s Irish Republican Army (IRA) to Spain’s Basque separatist group Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (ETA) to Italy’s Anni di Piombo (Years of Lead), extremist political groups organized bombings in each of those countries, meaning terrorism in Europe as local phenomenon was perhaps just as ominous as the current threat posed by the Islamic State.

I thought the world was ending in the sixties.

But, we had Woodstock and free sex, so it wasn't all that bad. It was groovy, man.

Exactly, today's youth only has Pokemon Go to distract them. And that only seems to placate nerdy Asian kids mostly.

we can put a rover on mars, yet billions of people still believe in the contents of books written thousands of years ago when donkeys and camels were the mode of transport.

Greed and financial manipulation is doing more damage than religion is in present times.

I still don't know what a Pokemon is, I think it's because I'm old.

MG1 07-18-2016 07:28 AM

I'm older than you and I know about them. Then again, my kids are older, so I know because of them. Plus, I'm a bit of a Nintendo aficionado. I have just about every one of their game consoles and handhelds. I can start a mini Nintendo museum, LOL. And the amount of games. Collectors items, complete with original boxes and instructions. Then, the Nintendo Power publications. The original Earthbound with box and instructions in mint condition. Weird games like The Boy and His Blob. I played these games more than the kids did.

Hondaracer 07-18-2016 07:36 AM

sell me dat Earthbounddddd

I think the western world has now accept what most of the mid east has accepted for a long ass time.... bombs are normal, death is normal. I wish there would be a truce... ya'll run your women children country into the ground and we won't interfere or push our ideals on you. and You stop bombing us.

They say all it takes is a few men to do nothing for evil to be successful but shit seems like the good guys are trying and dieing...

You think terrorist attacks in the western world are new?

russians defeated the Chechnyan jihadists

of course i don't think any western nation would use that level of force.

Yes but the Chechen rebels didn't start out as Jihadists. They were fighting for independence first and foremost. It's easy to pound a rebel group into oblivion that has a clear military chain of command and base of operations.

Same happened with the defeat of the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka.

Completely different and nigh impossible to defeat lone wolf operations with a military response, unless we're talking internment camps/genocide.

Don't think so.......... in "meh" condition, it is around 300 bucks. Mint condition would be around 500 bucks. In a few decades, it'll be through the roof.

At least I'm hoping so, hee hee.

I have an original gold Zelda, too. Not so nice condition.

Hondaracer 07-18-2016 02:28 PM

yea with the box these days you're over $500 no problem

MG1 07-18-2016 05:10 PM

My wife used to bug me about the fact I like keeping boxes. Ask Fliptuner on all the shit I have in and around my house/garage. I have boxes from shit I had in Kindergarten, LOL.

fliptuner 07-18-2016 05:16 PM

MGjuan bought a new storage shed for his collection of boxes. The contents of which, have already been discarded :lawl:

320icar 07-18-2016 05:24 PM

Funny you mention that, I just boxed up all my nes/snes/64/gcn stuff in banker boxes to give to my bro for safe keeping lol. 7 boxes full LOL

MG1 07-18-2016 05:33 PM

I never forgave my mother for throwing out my comic and hockey card collection.
