Distracted Driving

SoundsGood is promoting Safe Driving with a $150 Bluetooth device that you can have for $20 and that $20 goes to The Canadian Breast Cancer Research Foundation. It's a win/win.

We really don't want you touching your phone while you're in your car.

Be safe!

Keep Breast Cancer Research active.

Fixed for you.

Actually Scosche is a widely recognized brand. I know for a fact that SoundsGood is selling these WAY below cost. Plus, all the money goes towards breast cancer so why so negative?

Why so defensive just because it's a sponsor?

The prices on Amazon speaks for itself, nevermind what a vendor can get at large volumes and it being an outdated model. Don't get me wrong, it's a good cause towards breast cancer for sure and I thank them for that. But you would be a fool to advertise this thing as something worth "$150-200" and think people will actually believe it.

orgasm_donor 07-19-2016 10:20 PM

The difference is, the Scosche will have local warranty and I know for a fact that SoundsGood will replace it free of charge within a year. The Amazon one is cheap but if it breaks....well, let's just hope you buy 2 or 3 just in case.

I used to get people coming in all the time with these cheapie bluetooth things and lemme tell you, it was a 50/50 chance if it would work or not. You get what you pay for and sometimes buying online has its limitations.

Retail price on the Scosche unit was $199 when it first came out by the way. The statement is not inaccurate.

installerz 07-20-2016 05:47 AM

Perhaps I can clear this up for you...They are free!!!!

I want to help the Canadian Breast Cancer Research Foundation by giving them $20 every time someone gets one of these anti-Distracted Driving devices.
It's not like we are making ANY money from them. Actually, we are losing money.

What are you doing to help the world besides disrespecting an idea to promote safety & charity?

This should make this easier for you.....send CBCR $20, bring me the receipt and I'll give you one. Or does that sound like I am trying to bloat the price of a product?

This is good until they are all gone. We have 80

Both locations

MG1 07-21-2016 09:35 PM

I'll do my part....... I'll match the 20 bucks. I'll give you 40 bucks to give to CBCR. Hopefully, I can come by tomorrow. Haven't seen the new place, so it'll be a bonus.

Thank you MG1. I'll be in the Burnaby shop from 9-10:30 tomorrow morning, then back to Coquitlam. It's been a while. It'll be nice to catch up

MG1 07-22-2016 05:16 PM

It was good to see you again, my friend. Shop is wonderful. Clean and well laid out. The bluetooth device is very nice and it works well. I'll come by again when I have more time. When I hear people say they're busy after retirement, it's no lie. I'm way more busier than when I had a job. All those ten million things you put aside.............. nuff said.

I see where you're coming from. We used to sell them like 5-6+ years ago when BT accessories were more expensive. Used to retail for $149-199. Scosche has since discontinued them hence why you see them on Amazon for so cheap. They're basically blowing out inventory. Correct term would be "used to be worth $150-200, but now $29.95 on amazon" but who care's. It's for a good cause.

it's always nice to see you MG1. Thank you for donating the $40 to the cause.

I hope this unit gives you much pleasure.

I never understood the concept of retirement. As a self-proclaimed workaholic, I'm not sure if I'll ever stop being busy. Hmmmm, very introspective, huh?

Retired? I thought you kept saying 'Retarded' which made much more sense at the time. :)

Thank you to all the people that chimed in, bought them or just recognised that breasts are good to keep around.

That's it! No catch! 100% free.

We are doing this so that nobody has an excuse to have their phones in their hands. Tickets aside, we just want you to be safe.
