Video Project Test , What do you guys think? Hey guys, not sure where to post this. Hopefully it's ok here. Anywhoos, my friends first car video we worked on. Hope you guys enjoy it. Any tips, or suggestions be awesome too . thanks :) |
Not bad, especially for your first time! I'm no pro so I can't comment on framing or lighting, but one easy thing that I find makes videos like these POP a bit more, is matching your shot cuts with the beat of the music. So when there is a sharp note, beat change etc, make your cut right there, or a milisecond after. You did it at :15-:16 with the black out, but there were lot's of other times throughout that could have been more precise. |
Well shot. |
Needs explosions like Michael Bay movies |
Reuploaded what do you guys think :) |
Video looks good! What kind of rig/camera set up did you use for the shot at 0:50? I can see the shadow of some complex rig at the very end of the shot, lol. |
Next time you need a new video subject use my car! 2017 STI |
What kind of camera and stabilization? |
i love how you transition most of your shot from a slide to your subject. How'd you manage to get that shot with the camera panning so close to the ground, and were you on a skateboard haha during those shots in the parkade? |
That was really well done. Especially, for your first time. Great video! |
Damn. Colour me impressed dude. Also, lol at ur second shot of the guy walking. Trying so hard to just "walk normal" but you can feel the tenseness in his shoulders and posture. Made me chuckle |
Well done, especially for an early attempt. The second video has much better timing on the edit marks. Just a couple of quick technical critiques... Do some practicing on your steadicam/stabilized shots, along with the tracking ones. They look decent, but there's some jittery aspects to it and a couple of the shots stop a little too abruptly. Nothing that can't be easily fixed with a bit more practice, however. The other thing to watch out for is switching between a static shot and a super quick motion/tracking one. It can be a little jarring and out of place at times. Otherwise, I can't really nitpick too much about it! Also, I'm vaguely curious what sort of equipment you were using. I saw the reflection of some sort of crane/jib setup a couple times. |
Solid video. Terrible fashion sense and ugly car mods. |
nice video. maybe some slow mo around the times when he opens the door and gets in/out of the car. |

Better alternative angles would be like AutoVlog or ThatDudeinBlue. Also, don't do hard pulls on 50km city streets. Just makes you look like a douche. Pretty reckless to be hitting over 100km (yes, we can see it on the speedo) regardless how clear it is. Take it on a 80km highway at the very least. Other than that, video was alright. |
