Smoking in cars - I don't get it.

I don't get people who smoke in their cars but alright, it's your car, go ahead and ruin the resale value and make it a miserable coffin for your friends and family to ride in but today took the cake for me.

Guy driving a Tesla Model S at the YVR outlet mall smoking in his car (window open) and I'm thinking, "well you must have a lot of money to throw away" and then I spot the baby seat in the back. I didn't see a baby in the back but even so, WTF DUDE YOU PUT YOUR CHILD IN A CAR THAT REEKS OF SMOKE, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Am I off my rocker? Is it b/c I live in a city that bans smoking in most places so I think smoking in cars is also stupid? Do people elsewhere smoke in their cars like it's no big deal?

everyone has their vices and it's a personal decision
but i'll never fucking understand those that subject their children to secondhand smoking

irked me when my dad used to chain-smoke in the house.

oh gosh when you used to be able to smoke on a plane WutFace
i don't mind it as much when people smoke in an establishment though (clubs abroad etc)

He can legally smoke in his vehicle as long as there isn't a child (16 or younger) in the vehicle and/or it isn't a work vehicle.

swfk 09-05-2016 01:20 AM

I don't think OP is on about legal problems, it's how there's a baby that frequents the cabin of the car that has second hand smoke in it

flagella 09-05-2016 05:12 AM

You can walk around in a city in China for a day and that's equivalent to smoking a pack. I hate smokers with passion but nothing much you can do about these fucks so might as well get over it. Hopefully the deteriorating health will just take care of them soon.

Just purchased a used car and at the time of the test drive I did not notice any real odors from the previous owner smoking, but it is a lot more noticeable now and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for detailers that can get rid of it. Products sold at Canadian Tire are a hit and a miss from doing some research into them so I rather just pay to get it done right the first time.

Ozone the interior. Aqua Auto near Brentwood can do it.

fliptuner 09-05-2016 11:07 AM

Do you suggest shampooing the carpets and seats before hand?

Qmx323 09-05-2016 11:40 AM

^ Steam clean the headliner, probably helps more since smoke billows up

Jmac 09-05-2016 02:57 PM

Change the cabin air filter when you clean it, otherwise you'll reintroduce the smell if there's a substantial amount of filth in it.

AzNightmare 09-07-2016 08:43 AM

Smoking. - I don't get it.

Armind 09-07-2016 08:57 AM
